Real Sociedad are dropping their bid for Manchester City striker Jo Alves.
Sociedad have a tight budget to work with and are in no position to table a big-money bid.
With that in mind, they are ready to drop their interest and turn their attention elsewhere.
"The subject of Jo has not been discarded but has become more complicated," said a club director.
