Arsenal loanee Kieran Tierney does not have a long term injury problem at present.

The left-back was left out of the Scotland squad by manager Steve Clarke this week.

While fans were fearing the worst for the defender, Real Sociedad manager Imanol Alguacil stated that Tierney's hamstring injury is not an "extraordinary "issue.

"It is a significant thigh tear, but nothing extraordinary," he told MD of the player his side has on loan for this season.

"What I always say, each player is different and so is the recovery time.

“Time will tell when he will return, it is the typical breakage that is difficult to recover from, but I hope to have him as soon as possible."
