Real Madrid's Emerson: I want AC Milan

Real Madrid midfielder Emerson admits he wants to return to Italy.

"I asked to be left behind when Real went to play the Carranza trophy. I knew AC Milan were about to come to Madrid for talks, so I preferred to stay here," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I thought everything was sorted out, but on Wednesday my agent called to say there were problems. He told me to stay calm and be patient, so I took his word for it. As I wait, I am back training with my teammates."

Yet he is not a part of Coach Bernd Schuster's plans and does not want to stay at the club that fired Fabio Capello.

"I have another two years on my contract with Real, but if I have the choice then I certainly want to leave. I have spoken of Milan many times, they are my objective."
