Real Madrid tell Man Utd to get serious about Raphael Varane; price set

Real Madrid have told Manchester United to get serious if they want Raphael Varane.

AS says Real Madrid have slapped a £60m price tag on Varane and will dismiss Manchester United's opening offer of £40m.

Real value Varane £20m more than what United are prepared to offer, putting a spanner in the Red Devils' transfer plans.

The report also claims Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has personally asked the club to bring in the French international defender, who has been capped 73 times by France and is expected to play a key role in Les Bleus' European Championships campaign.

United currently have captain Harry Maguire and Swedish defender Victor Lindelof as their first-choice centre-back options, with Eric Bailly, Axel Tuanzebe and Phil Jones also in the Old Trafford ranks.
