Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has explored the prospect of Roberto Martinez taking charge of the first team.
The Belgium coach is a candidate for the coach's job, but Perez has concerns about the Catalan's "independent" streak.
That's according to Odiario's chief pundit Eduardo Inda, who said on El Chiringuito de Jugones, "There is a coach who is wanted by Madrid, who is Roberto Martínez.
"He was an objective and he still is, but there are misgivings in the board room.
"It's because this man came out in a campaign in favor of the Catalan selections, quasi-independence..."
