Real Madrid are eyeing Real Zaragoza midfielder Alberto Zapater.
Marca says the youngster is under consideration as a replacement for knee injury victim Mahamadou Diarra.
Zapater, 23, has a buyout clause of £7 million and Madrid will seek to drive that price down by including a Castilla player in their offer.
