Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has been ruled out of Germany's three World Cup qualifiers this international break due to physical problems.
The 31-year-old will now return to Madrid, where he will undergo tests on Wednesday.
It is thought that while Kroos is a doubt for Real Madrid's match against Eibar on April 3, he should be back in time for the first leg of Los Blancos' Champions League last-16 tie against Liverpool on April 6, reports Marca.
Aside from the fact that this injury is not serious, Kroos is a player who rarely picks up muscular problems and who often recovers quickly, which makes both the player and the club more optimistic about this current issue.
"We have examined him," Germany boss Joachim Low said on Kroos.
"We would have liked to have him back, but it's better that he recovers well and is in the best condition for the European Championship this summer."
