Real Madrid, Liverpool encouraged as PSG bot scandal pushes Mbappe closer to exit

Europe's biggest clubs are on red alert with Kylian Mbappe determined to leave amid a cyber controversy.

This week, both coach Christophe Galtier and sporting director Luis Campos denied that the France international was sad and eager to leave, but as the hours have progressed since the bombshell, more details of the player's feelings have emerged.

Mbappe, with Real Madrid, Chelsea, Liverpool and Barcelona all watching, feels that PSG have betrayed him and that the promises of his renewal have fallen far short of reality.

The club is aware of this, despite the fact that from the outside it has been sold as a campaign to discredit the club and its star, whereby the club was reportedly asking for 400 million euros for him and 'vetoing' a move to Real Madrid.

It has now been revealed by RMC Sport that PSG launched a multitude of fake accounts on social networks with the aim of discrediting hostile media, but also other personalities, including players like Mbappe.

All this gives more and more reason to reaffirm the world champion's decision.

L'Equipe reports Campos himself had a meeting yesterday at Camp des Loges with the player. According to the French daily, the club's sporting director understands the striker's dissatisfaction.

Lamari Fayza, his mother, has also made this public in her own way. She did so by retweeting the message of a fan in which he explained that "a smear campaign is being led to push him to leave", in relation to the hiring of an external agency by PSG to discredit the media and players.

The former director of UReputation, the agency in charge of these bots, acknowledged this Thursday. "For PSG to say they don't know us is unbelievable. This was a global strategy put in place with the club's communication department," explained Frederic Geldhof.

All this cocktail means that, according to L'Equipe, the player's family and entourage continue to insist that the reasons for this decision "go beyond football" and that "it is impossible to trust the club again".
