The season of Real Madrid fullback Ferland Mendy is over.
Mendy has been diagnosed with 'tibial periostitis', which is creating leg issues, and he isn't expected to play again this season.
A Madrid medical source stated: "It is not serious. It is usually caused by overuse, overload and stress.
"It is not serious, but it is heavy in time. It requires rest treatment and rehabilitation.
"Normally it can last about three weeks."
Mendy has only missed 11 games of the 49 that Madrid has played throughout the season (he has played 26 LaLiga games, 11 in the Champions League and one in the Spanish Supercopa).
