Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos says Diego Costa deserves his Spain call-up.

The Atletico Madrid striker is Brazilian, but will make his La Roja debut against Italy this week.

"He deserves to be called up for this match. For me, it's great that he can be with us," said Ramos.

"He's really going to help our team going forward. We're international teammates now, that's all the counts."
