Alex Fernandez was thrilled to make his debut for Real Madrid on the weekend.
The talented midfielder says his introduction proves coach Jose Mourinho is willing to give the club's young players their chance.
"There is much talk that the juniors will not get a chance, but Mourinho is using our talent and is betting a lot on the youth squad," said Fernandez.
"I want to thank Mourinho, who has shown confidence in me to give me an official match. Mourinho treats you as one of the team. He told me to do the same thing I do with the Castilla and that normally gives you confidence when the time comes to go play."
