Real Madrid are cutting their asking price for Raphael Varane.
Manchester United are keen on the France international, with his contract about to enter it's final year.
Having slapped an €80m price-tag on Varane at the end of the season, then dropping it to €60m, AS says Real Madrid are now prepared to sell Varane for €40m - or near enough.
United are in contact with Varane's agents and now are set to bid for the World Cup winner.
PSG are also interested in the defender, though their current focus is on his departing teammate Sergio Ramos.
