Real Madrid have announced Raphael Varane is out of their Champions League clash at Chelsea.
Injury has forced the defender out of the second-leg of their semifinal in London on Wednesday night.
Real Madrid confirmed the injury to Varane through a medical report this morning: "After the tests carried out today to our player Raphael Varane by the Medical Services of Real Madrid, he has been diagnosed with a strained right abductor muscle. Pending developments."
The positive news for Real Madrid is that skipper Sergio Ramos is fully fit to play from the start at Stamford Bridge.
