Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is delighted with the progress of Ferland Mendy.

The fullback joined last summer from Lyon.

Zidane said, "He was a player I wanted and agreed with the club to sign. He's young and talented, but you can't compare him with Marcelo.

"I'm very happy he's a part of our squad."

Real fitness coach Gregory Dupont is also winning plaudits for the way the players ahve performed during the restart.

Zidane added: “He's a very good fitness coach. Very good at his job."
