Real Madrid coach Zidane hails Ramos for winning and converting penalty in victory at Barcelona

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane praised Sergio Ramos after he won and converted a penalty in their 3-1 win at Barcelona.

The turning point of the game came as Clement Lenglet gave away a penalty for tugging on Ramos' shirt in the 58th minute. Barcelona protested the decision after referee Juan Martinez Munuera pointed to the spot after a VAR review.

After winning the penalty, Ramos picked himself up and took the spot-kick himself, marking his return to the team with a crucial goal.

"We know what he represents and how positive [his involvement] is for the team," Zidane said of his captain. "I'm happy for him, but particularly for the team. "It's important to see how the team works and the good thing is that Sergio didn't have the [injury] niggles that he had before."
