Real Madrid coach Santiago Solari was delighted with his youngsters after their 6-1 Copa del Rey rout of Mellila.

Solari was particularly pleased with the latest debutants he introduced.

He said, "Today's game was beneficial, it allows us to see how many quality, committed players we have, they put in a solid display and showed real spark up top".

“It doesn't matter what division our opposition are playing in. They're top of their group in Segunda B.

"Scoring 10 goals in two games isn't easy and I'm thrilled for everyone who was involved today, the veterans and the youth-team guys who made their debuts, namely Fidalgo and Fran García. That's extremely satisfying, as is Javi Sánchez's goal, which will surely be one for him to remember forever."
