Real Madrid coach Solari: Concentration lapses hurt us

Real Madrid coach Santiago Solari admits they paid for lapses in concentration after their Copa del Rey win over Girona.

Real won the quarterfinal first-leg 4-2.

"If you don't concentrate then you can suffer, the tie is still open," Solari explained in his post-match press conference.

"Our way of playing is renewed every single game, you have to have energy to do that.

"This matters just as much as our individual quality, we're satisfied with our performance tonight."

A brace from Sergio Ramos coupled with strikes from Lucas Vazquez and Karim Benzema handed Los Blancos the edge at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

"We did everything we could to head into the second game with a bigger advantage," Solari confirmed.

"In the first-half we deserved more, but they got an early goal and that helped them.

"In the second-half we got a second penalty, but even then, they put pressure on us."
