Real Madrid coach Ancelotti: Victory at Girona a complete performance

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti was delighted with victory at Girona.

Real cruised to a 3-0 win with Jude Bellingham scoring his seventh goal of the season.

Ancelotti said: "It was a very complete night. Winning here means that we did well and I'd like to highlight our defensive work, which was very good. We had the chance to create problems with the ball and defending well was decisive because Girona play good football."

"We put Bellingham on the outside to avoid Vini Jr. having too many defensive duties, bearing in mind that Tchouameni was in the centre to provide cover. The team's defensive work was good.

On Vini Jr.'s substitution, he added: "He wanted to play more but I decided to avoid any problems. He hasn't played for a month, so he's lacking a bit of his spark, but the 70 minutes he played will be good for him.

"The team looked sharp. They played a solid and convincing game. Girona play good football. We did the damage when we could and also controlled the defensive aspects well. Solidity is the most important thing in these games."
