Real Madrid coach Ancelotti: Tough losing Vini Jr, but...

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti admits losing Vinicius Jr is a blow.

The Brazil attacker is out for six weeks after suffering a hamstring injury.

Ahead of facing Getafe, Ancelotti said: "Without Vini we lose a very determining player. The game idea does not change, it does not change the system. We will replace him with another player.

"Yes, we can compete with anyone. We have the resources to compete fully. It is true that the equipment changes a little, but the quality is still very high.

"Without Vini we can play with Brahim, with Joselu ... but we have no obligation to play with three strikers, you can play an interior. One like Vini we don't have it, but it won't change the system. If Joselu plays we can use more centres and if Brahim plays we will play more inside."

He added: "Gonzalo is doing very well. He is contributing. He will be in the call as Nico Paz. The Real Madrid academy and work is very good. Players have a lot of quality, such as Nico, Marvel, Vinicius Tobias, Mario Martín ... the academy is producing many talents."
