Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has explained what went wrong with the Brazil job.

Ancelotti was expected to take the Selecao post at the end of this season, but instead he penned a new deal to 2026 with Real last week.

At today's LaLiga presser, the Italian revealed: "The reality is that everyone knows it.

"I have had contacts with Brazil, with Ednaldo Rodrigues. I want to thank him for your his and interest. But I was aware of Real Madrid. In recent months he is no longer the president of the Brazilian Federation.
