Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos explains angry goal celebration

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos was happy to score in their 2-0 win over Real Valladolid.

Fans whistled and jeered Ramos at times and it wasn't until Vinicius Junior's 82rd minute strike, which went in off Kiko Olivas, that they took the lead against Real Valladolid.

"When things don't come you have to stay calm and insist on sacrificing," Ramos said after the game. "The team believed and we were against a side who play good football.

"We understand the feeling of the fans, the whistles and everything, and we have to change that.

"With results people will start to trust us again.

"[The celebration] was a gesture of pride and dignity.

"We put in many hours of work.

"There is pride, which I have inside me, and that's what allowed me to break all of the records I have broken.

"I also wanted to dedicate it to my brother who was ill in bed."
