Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Junior: They're tackling dirty; Rodrygo and I feared being injured before World Cup

Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Junior has hit out at the LaLiga's hatchet men.

Vini Jr admits he and Rodrygo Goes are fed-up with the way they've been targeted this season.

Now away with Brazil for the World Cup, Vini Jr told Reuters: "What happens on the pitch stays on the pitch, but it has gone too far.

"You can get there with force, but they are being dirty in the duels.

"Rodrygo and I suffered a lot in those last games and we feared the worst, getting injured and missing the World Cup.

"When you start to be an important player, the rivals come for you with more force. You have to learn to deal with it.

“It was Karim (Benzema) who told me to be calm and have peace of mind, because if the rivals persecute you it is because you are relevant, because they are afraid of you. For this reason, when I catch the ball and go forward, I do it with enthusiasm. Yes, they can hurt me. But I'm up for the challenge."
