Real Betis midfielder Rodri admits he fielded interest from Napoli over the summer.

Rodri signed a new deal earlier this season.

He told Directo Marca Sevilla, "In theory, yes there were things, but Betis didn't let it get anywhere. They wanted me here and that's it.

"It's a source of pride because I had a good season, also the European Championship, it was normal.

"I am proud that a big team is interested in me.'

"The renewal helps to continue growing. These are big steps I am taking and I hope more come."
