Real Betis coach Pellegrini: Real Madrid draw a great spectacle

Real Betis coach Manuel Pellegrini was left pleased with their 1-1 draw against Real Madrid.

Jude Bellingham struck before Aitor Ruibal found an equaliser for hosts Betis.

Pellegrini said, "It has been a spectacle with two teams constantly looking for the opposite goal. I'm happy for the 55,000 people there were plus all the people who watch it on television.

"We had the best chances of the game, we had more shots on goal than them, but unfortunately we couldn't score that second goal. A Real Madrid that you always have to be attentive to, they lose the ball little, we defended them well and they didn't have many attacks.

"I'm happy for Aitor Ruibal because he is a player who works hard in games and in training and scored a great goal. Rodrygo is a very difficult player to stop, but I think he only made him suffer in the first 15 minutes, where he miscalculated his closing shots; Then Rodrygo did much less.

"To come and get a point against Madrid, all of us sheltering behind to see if we catch them on a counterattack, is not worth it to me. We are growing as a team and that is important."
