Real Betis coach Pellegrini on Sevilla draw: We created enough to win

Real Betis coach Manuel Pellegrini admitted mixed emotions after their 1-1 draw with Sevilla.

An Isco penalty for Betis was canceled out by Kike Salas for Sevilla.

Pellegrini said: "Well, without a doubt yes (Sevilla will be happier) because I think we had three or four very clear scoring chances during the game, one on the crossbar, Bakambu's one that broke alone in front of the goalkeeper, a couple of Cardoso's headers... We had clear chances to score the second goal.

"They equalised all the collective work with a corner, a team that played with great intensity, but I think we played a very good game.

"We were looking for spaces in the first half and in the second. In the second, Bakambu had the chance alone in front of the goal. Also a couple of chances from Cardoso, one from Ayoze who covered the goal very well.

"We had chances because I think we played a pretty complete game both offensively and defensively. Against a team that is dangerous because it has good players, very straight transitions for second plays.

"In general, they practically did not reach our goal. They reached us with that stopped ball and it helped them tie a game that was played, which was even, but in which we had the clearest chances."
