Reading forward Andy Carroll is in talks over a transfer away from the English club.

The former Liverpool and Newcastle United attacker could be heading to another country.

Carroll is in talks, per The Mail, over a move to French club Amiens SC in the coming days.

The French second division side are assessing Carroll to fill a hole in their squad.

The 34-year-old has a year left on his Reading deal, while he has never played outside of England.

Carroll has played 42 games for Reading across two spells at the club, scoring 11 goals during that time.
