Rayo Vallecano striker Raul de Tomas admits he's spoken to Mariano Diaz since his return to Real Madrid.

The pair played together for Castilla and De Tomas left on-loan for Rayo before Mariano re-signed last month from Lyon.

De Tomas said: "Yes, I spoke with him, I have very good relations with him.

"Just the day I signed with Madrid, I sent him a message.

"He told me that we were both lucky and that we would see each other again in Madrid."
