AC Milan striker Rafael Leao is proud of his first season in Serie A.

Leao signed for Milan from Sporting CP, with director Paolo Maldini a big influence.

“Honestly, I didn't believe it at first. But then, when I spoke with Maldini, a Rossoneri icon and world football legend, who won many titles, I was very happy," he said.

“Incredible to have received the call from Milan, it was another of those moments that I will never forget.

“How am I? Very happy. I am proud to be part of this team and to be able to play with these colours. I am happy and grateful to Milan who bet on me."
