QPR boss Warnock scoffs at Briatore Lippi comments

QPR boss Neil Warnock is unimpressed by talk of being replaced by Marcello Lippi.

R's director Flavio Briatore has stated he'd like Lippi to take charge of the club in the Premier League.

Briatore has since stepped back into the shadows after being chairman but Warnock said of the flamboyant Italian: "He has given me his views on the team but he understands I make the decisions - and he's happy with that. I take this all with a pinch of salt. Worried? My stock's never been higher."

A QPR statement also dismissed Briatore's comments. It read: "Stories linking Marcello Lippi with QPR are completely unfounded."
