Pundit Driessen: Slot will accept Tottenham offer

Feyenoord coach Arne Slot is prepared to leave for England this summer.

Despite having Feyenoord on the brink of a championship win this season, Slot has his sights set beyond Rotterdam next term.

So says local pundit Valentijn Driessen, who is convinced Slot will take the job at Tottenham. Spurs are seeking a new long-term manager after Antonio Conte's departure. Conte's assistant, Cristian Stellini, is currently in charge to the end of the season.

Driessen said on De Telegraaf's podcast: “Of course he first wants to become champion with Feyenoord and go far in the Europa League.

"But he is definitely on the list at Tottenham, and I think that would be a great challenge for him. And I think he is certainly open to that, because he was already open to Leeds United last winter.

"He then simply presented it to the Feyenoord management, otherwise he would have simply said 'no' immediately.

“I think if Tottenham really want him, they can get him. Because they pay such an awful lot of salary. It is a great club and it is great that they have never won anything, because then you are the first who can win something with them. And there is enough money to invest in good players."
