PSV Eindhoven chief Marcel Brands has been in England this week for talks with Manchester City.

Eindhoven Dagblad says Brands is speaking with City about a new loan deal for Karim Rekik and is optimistic about an agreement.

"We are in a positive mood, otherwise we would not have gone so far (in negotiations)," remarked Brands.

The stumbling block, however, will be Rekik, who has stated he is reluctant to return to the Eredivisie next season.
