PSG surprisingly showing interest in Liverpool forward Firmino

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly preparing to make a shock bid for Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino.

Firmino joined the Reds from Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim for £29million during the summer, but has only started producing his best form since the arrival of Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.

Spanish publication Fichajes is reporting PSG manager Laurent Blanc sees the Brazilian as suitable cover for the Ligue 1 club's current strike pairing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani, should they opt to leave France this off-season.

Ibrahimovic has been linked with a move to Manchester United, while Cavani is reportedly the subject of interest from Arsenal and Chelsea.

It is believed Blanc has identified Firmino's versatility a suitable fit for his squad.
