PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino insists he was never offered the manager's job by Barcelona or Real Madrid.

The former Tottenham manager took charge of PSG earlier this month.

Asked if he received offers from the two LaLiga giants, Pochettino told Marca: "That's not the case.

"I have a lot of respect for the teams that have taken an interest in our staff. I have been contacted by several clubs, but the one who made me feel the affection as well as presenting a concrete offer was PSG. And this is for me the ideal project.

"I feel great motivation and responsibility. I want to do well and bring a lot to an exciting project. I quickly adapted to the circumstances and the players, the only thing that matters here is winning and the Champions League is certainly an obsession for everyone."
