Manchester City maintained their unbeaten start to the campaign and remain top of the Premiership after easing to a 5-1 home success over Norwich. City dominated this encounter from the beginning and it was only brave defending by the visitor's that kept the host's at bay until just after the half-hour.
Sergio Aguero opened the scoring from an assist by Micah Richards. The Canaries held out until the break but then fell further behind shortly after the restart.
Samir Nasri shot-cum-cross from 30 yards evaded everybody including Norwich keeper John Ruddy.
The visitor's had only one of their last 36 away games in the top flight and any hope of a fightback ended when YaYa Toure collected David Siva's pass from a short corner to fire home number three.
The Premiership newcomers did find a late consolation as City failed to deal with a corner and Steve Morison headed past Joe Hart.
But City showed why they are genuine title contenders by simply going through the gears and Mario Balotelli was there to finish brilliantly. Substitute Adam Johnson then completed the rout with his goal in injury time.
