Prem clubs call for investigation into Chelsea signing Christensen

Chelsea are facing a probe into the transfer of Andreas Christensen.

It has emerged the club appointed the player's father Sten Christensen as a scout the same day Andreas signed in 2012. And Sten earned £656,640 over four years from the club for that work.

Danish paper Politiken has published documents that appear to confirm the arrangement.

The Telegraph reports that other Premier League clubs are asking the league to investigate, as making payments to family members of young players is expressly against league rules.

The Blues could face a transfer ban on younger players.

A Premier League spokesman said: "If we receive any substantiated material that suggests our rules may have been breached, or relevant information has not been disclosed, we will investigate and have a track record of doing so.

"These processes are confidential and we do not comment publicly unless there is anything substantial to say."
