Pogba could trigger FIFA Article 17 to quit Man Utd

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba could trigger Article 17 of FIFA's transfer regulations to force a move away this summer.

The Frenchman has been linked with a move away since the summer transfer window as Real Madrid and Juventus have expressed interest.

L'Equipe says Pogba could used legislative measures to leave Old Trafford.

Article 17 of FIFA transfer regulations states that the Frenchman could buy himself out of his contract as he has completed three years of it.

This is defined in the guidelines as the “protected period", which is defined as: “A period of three entire seasons or three years, whichever comes first, following the entry into force of a contract, where such contract is concluded prior to the 28th birthday of the professional."
