Pimenta: Agents made contact with Haaland, Pogba after Raiola passed away

Rival football agents made an attempt to poach Mino Raiola's players on the day he died.

That is according to Brazilian lawyer Rafaela Pimenta, who spoke about the matter recently.

Raiola, who was one of the most famous agents on the planet with clients such as Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, passed away in April after an illness.

Pimenta, who now runs the player agency that has clients like Pogba and Erling Haaland, says that Raiola dying prompted calls to most of their high-profile clients from other agents.

“There are also a bunch of lowlifes who called the players," Pimenta told the Telegraph.

“One called (Walter) Benítez the day that Mino died. And Wanda, his wife, picked up and she gave him such a tongue-lashing and said, "You should be ashamed of yourself."

“Before Mino died they called Alphonse (Areola). Thousands of people called Xavi (Simons), thousands of people called Erling (Haaland), thousands of people called Paul (Pogba).

“They called me also and said: 'If you need help I can run the business for you'."
