Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford hopes to make former club Sunderland's FA Cup Third Round tie with Newcastle United.
Everton meet Crystal Palace several days before in that Round, so leaving Pickford free to attend the Wear-Tyne derby at the Stadium of Light.
"Well, the fixtures have fallen into place so hopefully I can go and show my support," the Everton goalkeeper told beIN SPORTS.
"Personally, in the country, I don't think there's a bigger derby.
"I think it's on par with Celtic and Rangers. Atmosphere wise, it's a great day out. Home and away fans, it's a great day and the atmosphere is right up there for me."
