Newcastle United creative talent Miguel Almiron has been sent home from international duty.
The Paraguayan will not be playing in upcoming friendlies for his national team, as he only lasted 45 minutes in a 1-0 loss against Peru.
Almiron is not 100 percent fit due to excessive game time in recent months.
"In the case of Miguel Almiron, he is not part of the delegation due to muscle overload," Paraguay boss Guillermo Barros Schelotto said after the Peru defeat.
Almiron has been outstanding for the Magpies, winning the PFA Premier League Fans' Player of the Month for October and guiding the team to a top four position in the league at present.
Magpies fans will be hoping he spends the World Cup break recovering and working his way back to full fitness.
