Perth Glory starlet snapped up by Celtic

Celtic have signed 18 year old Australian keeper Nick Feely. The youngster spent some time with Celtic in July and Fulham and Reading were also interested in the stopper.

Feely played in the Jock Stein Friendship Cup but must dislodge Robbie Thomson who is ahead of the former Perth Glory stopper in the pecking order.

Youth coach Stevie Frail confirmed: "We won't rotate the keepers, they'll play on merit. Robbie has stated our two league games but Nick's registration has now been completed.

"In Belgium we had a good look at Nick, he played in four matches and Robbie played in three.

"Nick hasn't played for a few weeks and needs a bit of work on his sharpness but we have got two good young goalkeepers battling for a place.

"We do a lot of work scouting and following up recommendations. We brought Nick over, had a look at him and liked what we saw."
