Newcastle United defender James Perch is calm about his situation at St James' Park.
Newcastle knocked back an offer for him in January but he says that there were no such worries about his future this close season.
He told The Journal: "To be honest, I didn't think about what was going to happen this year regarding my future.
"I came in for the back end of the season, played a few more games than I did the season before, I enjoyed it and I think I planted a seed in the back of the manager's head about what I can do."
