Brazil great Pele has sent a message to France striker Kylian Mbappe ahead of their World Cup quarterfinal with England.
The PSG hitman is the currently the top scorer in the competition with five goals.
“Pray for the King" read the Frenchman's short tweet which tagged Pele after news he had been admitted to hospital.
Late on Thursday, Pelé posted a reply, thanking the France star for his message and congratulating him for his outstanding performances in Qatar, where he has now reached a total of nine World Cup goals before the age of 24, breaking a record previously held by the Santos legend.
“Thank you, Kylian Mbappé. I'm happy to see you breaking another of my records in this Cup, my friend!" was the response given on Pelé's official Twitter account.
