That's according to reporter Salim Baungally, who was speaking with SFR Sport.
He said, "Evra has signed until the end of the season to help. It's win-win. It allows him to get back on the circuit. He does not take a big salary (he has bonuses and the like). David Moyes and he know each other well. It made things easier for him."
Baungally added: "In England, the press and fans are hitting the leaders and leaving Evra alone. It must be remembered that Evra has, at his base, an excellent image in England due to his move to Manchester United."
