Parma coach Fabio Liverani was delighted with his players after their 2-1 defeat of Genoa.

Gervinho scored both of Parma's goals.

“I have always said that this team have a lot, we have gone through various difficulties," Liverani said afterwards.

“I have many players who can start when we have a full squad. It's normal to have difficulties, we need to play matches like this, the lads deserve it.

“The club asked me to finish between 10th and 16th in the table and we can easily do it.
