Alan Pardew is keen on signing Aston Villa striker Darren Bent for Crystal Palace.

The Daily Star says Swansea striker Bafetimbi Gomis remains his top target, but Villa misfit Bent is also under consideration.

Bent worked with Pardew at Charlton and has scored two goals in five games on loan at Brighton. He is a free agent next summer.

Palace are also bringing back Glenn Murray from his loan spell at Reading, where he scored eight times in 18 appearances.
