Palermo expect to sell Franco Vazquez to Tottenham this week.

The Mirror says they have been told there is interest from Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino in the 27-year-old and are preparing themselves for an offer in the coming days.

Vazquez, capped twice by Italy, is also wanted by Fiorentina and AC Milan, but he is keen to join a Premier League side and preferably one that is playing in the Champions League next season.

Spurs must now decide whether or not to take their initial interest in the player, who was born in Argentina to an Italian father, any further.
