Everton are expected to cut loose young defender Shkodran Mustafi.

The former Hamburg junior is interesting Italy's Palermo.

The defender has failed to convince David Moyes to hand him a first-team chance and he is yet to make a single Premier League appearance for the Toffees in two seasons on Merseyside.

Italian sources say Palermo have approached Everton about a season-long loan deal for Mustafi with an option to buy at the end of it.
