Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew says Yohan Cabaye's ankle injury is not as bad as first feared.

Palace are still assessing the injury and the 30-year-old is a doubt for tomorrow's game against Bournemouth

But Pardew is optimistic Cabaye is not facing an extended spell out.

"We do not think it is as bad as first feared," said the Palace manager. "It was a tough tackle. We are hoping it is just swelling and that it will continue to go down. There was a lot of fluid on it."
