Palace keeper Johnstone ruled out of Euros

England second-choice goalkeeper Sam Johnstone will not be at Euro 2024 this summer.

The Crystal Palace shot stopper has undergone surgery on an injury he sustained during this international break.

Johnstone is the first player officially out of the tournament for the Three Lions, per The Mail.

Johnstone will have an operation to fix an elbow injury that he sustained while training on Sunday.

England will now have to assess their options for Jordan Pickford's understudy in the summer.

Aaron Ramsdale has been uninvolved for Arsenal all season, while Nick Pope is injured.
