Crystal Palace failed with an ambitious move for Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor yesterday.
The Telegraph says Palace were willing to foot the bill for 70 per cent of 30-year-old Adebayor's £100,000 a week pay packet.
QPR were willing to stretch to £60,000, but the player rejected the moves to both Loftus Road and Selhurst Park, instead stating a preference to join London rivals West Ham United.
